2.6Race Events and Group Settings:
The race only sets 100 li (50 km) event.

l Women’s 100 li (50 km) Individual
100 li (50 km) Event: The race route is approximately 104 li (52 km) in length with the start/finish line seated at an elevation of 3,428 meters above sea level. The race has a cumulative climb of approximately 2,506 meters, a maximum altitude of approximately 4,548 meters, a minimum elevation of approximately 3,487 meters, and an average elevation of approximately 3,976 meters. The route terrain consists of about 15.4 li of highway/tarmac(14.8% of the route), 10.6 li of dirt double-track road(10.2% of the route), 17.4 li of single-track trail(16.7% of the route), and about 60.6 li is open grassland(58.3% of the route). For 69% of the route, the snow-capped Mt. Zhara can be viewed. Further detailed info can be found in the runners’ race manual.
IV. Application Conditions
4.1 Eligibility Requirements:
All contestants must meet the following conditions:
● The ages of all contestants at the time of registration need to be between 18 or older and 60 or younger (the age of 18 and 60 are included). All contestants shall have full capacity of will and abide by rules and regulations of the race.
● Have no diseases that make them unfit for exercise and outdoor activities at high altitude, can independently control and be able to respond to minor physical and psychological problems caused by long-distance running, high altitude, running at night, severe weather and etc. factors appropriately and effectively.
● Have at least 6 ITRA points (garnered from two (2) or fewer events) from eligible domestic or international trail races that were completed between June 2017 and June 2019.
● Have participated in climbing, hiking or running activities above 3,500 meters in elevation between June 2017 and June 2019.
4.2 Medical Certificate:
All contestants, at the race check-in site, must submit a physical examination certificate that was conducted within the past year (which includes an electrocardiogram and blood pressure reading) at a Second-tier Grade A hospital or county-level and above hospital. Those who have the following diseases may not participate in the competition:
● Congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease or other heart diseases
● Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia
● Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases
● Other diseases that make one unsuitable for mountain sports/trail running
V. Registration Process
5.1 Number of Participants
The 100 li (50 km) race will only accept no more than 100 contestants.
Application window: from 12:00 June 5st, 2019 till race spots are all filled.
Race Service include:
● Race organization service.
● Medical and rescue services during the event.
● Participant’s race package (Finisher’s commemorative clothing, race bib, timing chip and GPS device, race manual).
● Round-trip shuttle bus from Kangding Airport to the main race venue.
● Round-trip shuttle bus from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to the main race venue.
● During the race period, car service for the race at Bamei Town.
● Hotel accommodation during the race period.
5.4 Registration Confirmation:
Passing the review by the race committee means successful registration.
The final list of confirmed registered runners will be announced on the official race website and the official race WeChat Public Account after the registration deadline.
5.5 Withdrawal of Registration:
Once the application for the race is received, verified and successfully registered, requests for race withdrawal will not be accepted.
All events in this race are self-navigated and self-supported. Runners compete on the course as designed by the organizing committee and must complete the race using their own navigation devices. The race route will be released at the technical meeting.
In the 100 li (50 km) event, timing points are set at the start/finish point and every check point. Runners must pass through and receive confirmation that their time has been recorded at each timing point. Skipping a checkpoint or not having one’s time recorded at any one of the timing checkpoints will disqualify the concerned runner and invalidate one’s results.
6.2Race Starting Time:
The starting time for the 100 li (50 km) race is 2019, July 16, 08:00.
6.3Cut-off Time and Process:
In order to guarantee the safety of participating runners, the cut-off time of this competition is 12 hours. In the same manner, each timing checkpoint will have a cut-off time set in relation to their position on the course. The time that a runner leaves a checkpoint will be their recorded time; cut-off times are in effect from that point. Runners subjected to a cut-off time must immediately retire from the race and not continue onwards. Runners who choose to not continue onward in the race or who are subjected to a cut-off time must register at the nearest aid station and make arrangements with the staff to return to the race finish line.
6.4Package Drop-off and Pick-up:
Package Drop-off and Pick-up of the 100 li （50 km）race is set at the Start/Finish point, and participating runners shall drop off and pick up their personal belongings in following way.
Drop-off time: 06:45-07:30 July 16, 2019
Drop-off venue: Huiyuan Monastery, Bamei Town
Pick-up time: 13:00-22:00 July 16, 2019
Pick-up venue: Huiyuan Monastery, Bamei Town
All participants must drop off their personal belongings at the drop-off zone in accordance with the rules and regulations. Valuables (such as mobile phones, official ID/ certificates, cash, credit cards, keys, mobile devices, etc.) should not be stored in the bag. Upon one’s return to the finish line, runners can retrieve their stored items. If you do not collect your stored personal belongings, you can contact the Organizing Committee the next day to receive it. If you do not arrange to pick up your bag within that following day, the Organizing Committee will dispose of it.
●Fixed medical aid stations(equipped with ambulances, medical staff, armamentarium) will be arranged at the start point, along the route and at the finish point. Along the route mobile rescue staff are arranged and equipped with first-aid packet.
●During the competition, if a runner is judged by the medical staff as unfit to continue, he/she must strictly accept and abide by the medical staff’s suggestion and cooperate with the referee to complete the DNF registration process.
●Rescue staff will be arranged at dangerous sections or intersections that runners likely get lost to ensure runners avoid possible danger.
●In case of any danger, the runners shall immediately contact the organizing committee through GPS rescue device. The organizing committee will carry out medical rescue for runners and register them as the withdrawal runners.
●When a runner finds that another runner is in danger, he/she shall immediately contact the organizing committee through the GPS rescue device. The organizing committee will carry out medical rescue for the runner and register him/her as a withdrawal runner.
●If a runner stays in place (except the starting point, finishing point and CP station) for 15 minutes, he/she will be included in the observation object. If he/she stays in place for 25 minutes, he/she will be included in the key observation object. If he/she stays in place for 30 minutes, the organizing committee will carry out medical rescue for him/her and register him/her as the withdrawal participant.
All mandatory gears need to be carried throughout the race and the recommended gears should be arranged on runners’ own. (Gear that is underlined is provided by the Race Organizing Committee).

●Mobile phone: shall be turned on all the time during the race; shall use China Telecom SIM card
●Power Bank: with capacity greater than 6000mA and be fully charged when starting the race.
●Emergency space blanket (140cm*210cm)
●Resealable bag (for personal thing or trash)
●Lighting equipment: two headlamps or torches (with two sets of spare batteries in 100% charge state)
●Warm top: wool, fleece or down jacket, weighing not less than 200g
●Warm pants: Weight not less than 200g
●Windproof Jacket: waterproof and breathable, with cap and pressing rubber, minimum waterproof coefficient: 10000 hydrostatic pressure
●Windproof Pants: waterproof and breathable with pressing rubber
●Foodstuffs of which energy supply is not less than 1000 Kcal
●Aid bandage: 6cm*100cm
●Fleecy or worsted hat
●Insulated full-fingered gloves
●Water-carrying pouch/bladder/bottles with a capacity not less than 1L
●Complete medical kits including sterile gauze, elastic bandages, medical tape suitable to wrap a sprained ankle, butterfly bandages and band-aids, sterilized alcohol wipes, blister and foot-care supplies, anti-chafing cream and NSAID’s like Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, etc.
●Sunblock and SPF-rated lip balm
●Spare headlamps or flashlights with spare batteries
●Personal medicines (suggested: aspirin, paracetamol, Fenbid, 6542 tablets, Astemizole/ chlortrimeton, hemostatic gauze, elastic bandage, etc.)
●Extra trail running shoes/socks
When the runner collects the event package, he/she needs to pay a GPS tracker deposit of RMB 500. After completion of the race, runners can collect the deposit upon return of their GPS tracker. If there is any loss or damage, the deposit will not be refunded.
The race is a high-altitude event with high risks. In order to ensure the safety of runners, the organizing committee will carry out mandatory gear inspection in the following situations:
●Mandatory gears will be checked at the time of the athlete race packet pick-up site. If there is a missing item, the race packet will not be issued.
●Mandatory gears will also be checked at the starting line; the absence of any item will disqualify the runner.
●Mandatory gears will be checked at both the start point and the finish point. During the race, runners will also be subject to random gear checks from on-course staff. Runners found to be without a piece of mandatory gear will be disqualified there and then. Runners found out to be without complete mandatory gears will not be allowed to continue the race, stay put, wait for race staff and vehicles returning to the finish point, and cooperate with arrangement by race staff.
6.8Penalties for Violations:
The organizing committee will arrange staff and judges at the start/finish point and at each checkpoint. Runners who violate any of the following rules will be disqualified from participating in this competition for a time period of two years. If the circumstances are serious, they will be banned for life.
●Competitors must complete all the races independently. They must not ride on horses, vehicles, etc. They must not accept support from non-organizing committee. They must not carry and use oxygen devices or other breathing apparatuses, otherwise they will be disqualified from the race.
●Competitors must strictly adhere to the race course as organized and announced by the race organizing committee. It is forbidden to cut or otherwise skip parts of the course. The mileage and cumulative climb generated by the track shall not be less than the standard track parameters published by the organizing committee. Violators will be disqualified.
●If a runner fails to pass all the timing points set for the race, he or she will be disqualified.
●Runners who do not accept the inspection of mandatory gears or do not carry the mandatory gears as required will be disqualified.
●Runners who alter, modify, transfer or counterfeit one’s race bib/number will be disqualified and face a life-ban of the race.
● Runners who finish the race in relay will be disqualified.
●Disobeying the reasonable commands of the race staff.
●Runners who forced their way into the race course after the CP closing time will result in disqualification.
●Interference with the competition, malicious competition, picking quarrels and deceiving others will result in disqualification.
●15 minutes will be fined (until wearing the number bib correctly) for failing to wear the number bib correctly or deliberately blocking/hiding the number bib.
●One hour will be fined for littering.
●Any other violation of race rules shall be given a penalty by the referee.
Note: The use of false information to obtain eligibility is at your own risk.
6.9Adjustments or Cancellation of the Race
If any adverse circumstances occur, including but not limited to fires, thunderstorms, earthquakes, rainstorms, mudslides, landslides, etc., the Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel or temporarily adjust the schedule of events; due to natural disasters, wars, demonstrations, outbreaks of disease, and in the event of a force majeure that results in the cancellation of the event, the race will not refund the race entry fee.
7.1 The race sets up winning awards and honorable awards as follows,
● Top 3 male or female runners will receive the winning awards.
● The 4th Place to the 10th Place winning awards.
● Finisher Winning Awards: RMB500 Yuan/person.
● All finishers will receive ITRA points(TBD).
●Every finisher will receive an honorable medal.
●Every finisher will receive a certificate of honor.
●Every finisher will receive a commemorative race clothing.
7.2 Prize money/awards Delivery Process: After the race is over, the organizing committee will publicize the results on the official website and official WeChat public platform for 10 working days. During the period, if no appeals are fielded, the organizing committee will contact the winning contestants to issue prizes within 5 working days.
VIII.Protests and Appeals
8.1 Any person who disagrees with the results of the race, the referee"s adjudication, or the athlete"s qualifications and desires to submit an appeal, a written complaint report must be filed with the Arbitration Committee of the Organizing Committee along with a RMB 500 appeal fee. The Arbitration Committee will arrive at a decision within 15 working days.
8.2 If the appeal was successful, the appeal fee will be refunded. An unsuccessful appeal means the appeal fee will not be refunded.
9.1 The Organizing Committee has purchased public liability insurance (not including personal accident insurance for runners).
9.2 The Committee will purchase personal accident insurance for all runners.
9.3 Runners may purchase other types of insurance if they have other insurance needs.
